There isn't a right way to be trans. You don't have to want/get surgery or hormones or do any other things that qualify you as trans in someone else's eyes in order to affirm your identity. Someone who is trans is a person whose sense of personal identity and gender does not correspond with the sex they were assigned at birth. That doesn't mean your identity has to align with a binary gender; you don't have to care about passing. You can want or not want any of these things, and if you identify as trans, you are trans enough. You are enough.
